First Saturday in Green.

I am so happy GREEN was selected for this months color. I seem to have a lot of green so this will be a great month of playtime for me.

I had most of these four patches made so it was easy to make my first 64 patch block this month. I have eight of these made so far and I think I will hand quilt them up as blocks and then practice a quilt as you go with them to make a small quilt top. That will get me ready to QAYG on my Lori Smith quilt blocks I started working on last year.

I also have a couple of quilt tops that have a bunch of green in them that would love to get quilted this month. We'll see if that happens or not.

This one is the nine patch with green/cream hourglass blocks from my UFO list on the side - I hope to get this one quilted this month and would love to get the Easy Street quilt top finished (with a green outer border) and quilted this month too. I have the inner border cut out and the outer border fabric is being shipped to me very soon.

Head on over to SoScrappy and see what others are working on in green this weekend.

Fun green 64 patch block. I really like how you used the green to frame some of the 9 patches, it really ties them to the green border. Very pretty.

I just love those 64P blocks.

Have you done a QAYG before? I'm contemplating doing a QAYG when I am "commissioned" to make a king-sized bed quilt (when DD gets her king-sized bed).

Yummy green 64 patch block. Wonderful 9 patch quilt top.
I've finished my Easy Street top, bought the batting. Wish I had the backing and it was already quilted. Such a big quilt.

I really like your 9-patch quilt top but I love your 64 patch block! In fact, I have just started making some 64 patch blocks after seeing yours! One of these days I'll post some. Thanks for the inspiration! Good luck with your QAYG - it really helps to get a large quilt done. ~Jeanne

Great block, but love the quilt - great setting for a 9-patch.

Great Green and black big block. I like your idea of joining the RSC and finishing up your UFO's.

Love the 9-patch! Any ideas on how you will quilt it? The black dot fabric in your 64-patch makes everything POP! That one is going to look wonderful with all the rainbow colors!

A good start on green. I also have a lot of green to work with this month and hope I make a dent in it. Good luck with quilting your green tops - I'm rooting for you.

Yay for green! I'd like to try a QAYG... good idea to do it using your scrappy blocks. I love your 9 Patch and how the green balances the quilt so well.
