Triangle Quilt Along....

I played with the triangles this morning to lay them all out and then started to sew them together.  This just screams spring to me!

I really need to pay more attention when sewing them together so things don't get moved around. I'll have to do a little frogging to make those first two rows look like the original picture....I want the whites spread out a bit more than how they went together.

Maybe I should not sew while talking on the phone with Mom? The door to the sewing room will stay closed to keep the cats out until this is all sewn into rows. They tend to have their own idea on how the fabric should look and it is a bit different from mine!

Head on over to The Sassy Quilter to see how all the other quilts are coming along. It's not too late to join this fun sew along.

Those triangles look great! I thought I would like to do that quilt along but ended up doing Freckled Whimsey's Diamonds in the Rough. I am testing for Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks again and that takes time and you have nothing to show for it. Joanne

Looking GOOD! I'm making some of my triangles make random scattered diamonds throughout my quilt top.

It looks great! Very springlike! To keep my triangles/blocks/whatever in order while sewing, I use those stickers that you put prices on stuff at a garage sale. I number them and put them in the same spot on each piece i.e. lower right corner. I've even ironed over them and they come right off with no residue. I've also used straight pins to do the same thing using 1,2,3 or 4 pins. ~Jeanne

I hope you don't spend too much time frogging! Both pictures look good to me. This quilt is such a fun, cheerful explosion of spring color.

I got a couple of my triangles out of order when taking them from design wall to sewing table as well. I looked at it, decided I could live with it, and move on (much more carefully). :-)

I *love* your colors.
