RSC Saturday...

I had a change of plans today and the kids are both cranky and home with me. We did get the garbage and recycling done, hit the fruit stand and the grocery store and now are trying to pick up the house a bit to dog proof it. We will be having a house guest for a little bit while Grandma is in the hospital dealing with some gall bladder issues. She is scheduled for surgery but we are not sure if it will be today or Monday. Until she is back on her feet and ready to care for her horse... I mean dog we will have him at our house! This is a picture of Greg and the kids at Easter with Buddy the Boxer. He is a small horse size but very gentle with the kids.

While picking up I decided to lay out my hexagon flowers and see what I have done since January. Lots of pretty flowers... and I have no clue what I will do with them! Plenty of time to figure that out as I add a few more colors to the mix.

The kids also had a graduation ceremony to celebrate the end of their HIPPY lessons on Thursday afternoon. Aidan finished his last fall and Em finished up her 5 year a couple of weeks ago.

Head on over to SoScrappy and see what other yellow fun is happening in blog land. I hope to visit later today or tomorrow as time allows. I also need to sneak away and work on a few sampler blocks.... someone is on a roll posting new ones this week!

Hope Grandma is on the mend soon. Horse sitting should be fun! Love the hexies. Fortunately with hand stitching, there is always lots of time to ponder as you stitch.

Looks like grandma's dog will be happy to visit. Love your flowers they will be great no matter how you decide to lay them out.

Wishing a speedy recovery to Grandma!

I think you are going to need a shovel for your horse ;). There are some very good reasons to have a small dog!

Best wishes for Grandma ... and good luck with your house guest. I'm just LOVING those little flowers. I know I say that every time you show them, but I just love them more each time you share your progress. Congratulations to your graduates!

The kids look like they're loving Grandma's pet and he looks so happy with them too. Lots of fun walking and stooping and scooping for a while. Hope the surgery goes well and she heals quickly. The surgery isn't as invasive as it used to be and I understand the time to recuperate is not quite so long. Looking at your layout on the floor I can see why they call it Grandmother's flower garden. All that's missing is the green for the leaves. The quilt should be quite spectacular.
