Slow Stitching Sunday....

Today I will be doing a little prep work to make my orange hexagons so I can start my 13 hexagon flowers for the RSC Challenge quilt I am working on this year. I am going to have to dig and be creative to get my 13 I think. I've cut out the first six - time to mark my sewing line so I can start sewing. Of course, I'll be next to a Joann's Fabrics tomorrow while I pop into the store so maybe I need to get a few more oranges? ... I'll need them for Celtic Solstice too =).

I finished off the appliqué block from last week and you can see it here. That quilt is ready to be pieced together sometime soon.

Head on over to Kathy's Quilts to see what other slow stitching is going on today.

  1. Orange can be tricky. I've been building up my supplies for the last few years. Glad you got a start though.

  2. I'm not sure that I have a single orange in my stash. I'm not sure why because I'm liking what I see in the RSC challenges this month.

  3. Well, if you need more orange for not one but two projects in progress then of course that's a justified stash addition. Plus, any leftovers will put you in a better position for next year's RSC orange month :)

  4. Definitely you need to shop for more orange :)
Can't wait to see your orange flowers!

I love to read your comments. Yahoo is currently having some issues with telling other servers to reject messages due to the third party server that sends the comments to e-mail. I'll try to respond to all messages but I may miss some as they are not all being sent to my e-mail. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.
