Light blue Churn Dashes.....

I had a little bit of time Friday after my morning walk and before I had to go to 'school' to learn about the Common Core Math. I decided to cut some parts for the light blue churn dashes and started sewing.

I've done 12 each of 12 colors.... (well only 6 of the light blue so far this month) of 6 inch finished churn dash blocks. Now.... what to do with them?

Should I split them up - 6 sets of each color and make two quilts? Group a couple of colors together with some alternate blocks and make a couple of snuggly throws that I was thinking of gifting around Christmas? (purple and yellow; pink and bright greens?).....Decisions, Decisions. I think I'll sleep on it for another week and then toss some coins =) What would you do?

Head on over to visit Angela on Saturday morning and see what other rainbow projects are being worked on.

This picture is from my new iPhone. I'm in process of setting it up but it let me take a picture so it is already better than my other phone. This one is huge though.... we'll see if I can get used to it.

What a lovely collection of blocks! Do you need a large quilt or smaller quilts for gifts? I would probably made a large wonderful quilt for myself!! LOL

I am rather partial to larger quilts myself. ;)

I plan to participate in the RSC tomorrow. Unfortunately, it has been a bit of hit and miss for me.

Being me and hating to push a huge quilt through my machine--I would go for the snugglies what a win/win--easy quilting and gifts all in one . I love those little blue babies...hugs, Julierose

Making Christmas quilts right about now sounds like a great plan. So fun to have a a stack of blocks and get to decide their fate. Hope the common core math was fun.

Great churn dashes . . . for me, I would go with two smaller quilts (I'm trying hard to avoid the bigger ones since the lap sized ones get used a lot more often).

Your churn dash blocks are adorable.

Very colorful churn dashes. You could do so much with those blocks. I always have a hard time deciding how to set the blocks once I'm done with them. So I'm no help on that front.

Your blocks are lovely.

They all look so sweet, sitting there! I'd make smaller quilts, but that's because manoeuvreing a large quilt through my machine is a real hassle. I think it depends on what you need most.

Your blocks are adorable. And the way you have them arranged makes me wonder if you are also considering a diagonal set?

I'm a fan of bigger quilts, but it will depend on what you're needing ... one larger quilt or two smaller? Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be gorgeous.
