Slow Sunday Stitching

Yesterday was errand day with lots of time in the car. Today.... will be puttering in the garden and repotting house plants (hey Mom - I've got 3 still alive! I picked up an african violet since mine has been dead for a year and a potted palm Thursday. Think I can keep them alive?) with help from Aidan. Pool time will happen as well - temps in the 90's!

I know at some point there will be slow stitching. I hope to finish the two peels in the middle and add four dark purples to the corners today. I also want to prep block 8+9 today so I have something to work on this week.

What will you be slow stitching today? Head on over to Kathy's Quilts for some inspiration.

ENjoy your plants... the dirt ones and the fabric ones! LOL
I think that prepping is a big part of making progress on any hand stitched projects.

I like doing my prep work on the weekends, too...it makes it easier to pick up and do some work during the week! When we lived in a sticks 'n bricks home, I keep African violets and loved nurturing them! Now that I have my nook, I may have to get a new pot and see how they fare over there! Enjoy your slow stitching day! :)

That's my next block to do and you are ahead...I just have mine prepped. Trouble is all that I want to do is hand quilt at the moment! :)

Sitting here with record lows predicted for temps tonight and you are talking about pool time. So jealous. That block is very pretty.

Love this block and hope you have time after pool time and your gardening to get a little stitching in
