Slow stitching Sunday...

Each week Kathy reminds us to slow down, breathe and relax with some slow stitching. I admit, during my breaks from the hot weather outside while weeding and dragging trimmings to the truck (2 loads and that is just the front!), I took some breaks and pulled out some hand quilting.
I thought I had my 5 chain blocks completed, until I took this photo. Notice the issue?

I have gone back and added another rectangle  to 3 of those 5 blocks and should have the other 2 completed today. Then it will be onto the stars.

What will you be slow stitching today? Head on over and see what is being stitched around the world today at Kathy's Quilts.

I'm not sure I would have noticed the issue if you wouldn't have pointed it out. It's beautiful, regardless. Happy slow stitching.

No, I didn't notice anything. After seeing the extra rectangle, it does look better, more balanced. But we are always more critical of our own work aren't we? You do such lovely hand quilting!

This is looking great. I too couldn't see the problem until you explained it, but I do like the addition of the extra rectangle.

Unsewing is right up there with mending. Glad you caught it before it was quilted. I have a little wall hanging that I've hung for years. One day I was just staring at it while deep in thought and discovered a hst that is going the wrong direction in a Jacob's Ladder block. Too late now. . .
