I punch a hole in them so that I can pin them to the fabric and then baste around them. Geta's templates are nice cause they can be cut with an old rotary cutterblade and a ruler. Fast and easy. I then make a template that includes the 1/4 inch seam. Cut strips that wide cut into squares and lay the template on top to cut off the corners. I do several at a time as this does not need to be accurate. Have fun with them, I know that I am.Carla A Few Of My Favorite Thingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782840958923418159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763380526259722932.post-6229334167457543092014-01-02T17:30:45.413-05:002014-01-02T17:30:45.413-05:00What adorable fabrics!! I cut mine a thread or two generously (since I do a lot of basting in the car). After basting, I just trim off the corners - nice mindless activity for the evenings. I know some who just lop off the corners before basting. Since I had a ton of 2 1/2" strips, I just subcut them into squares and started basting. I can't wait to see your progress!Kathy ... aka Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17626590048036292030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763380526259722932.post-21069658681417496072014-01-02T16:03:10.755-05:002014-01-02T16:03:10.755-05:00I need to get back to sewing my hexie's. I have a bunch of 1" hexie's in a container that just need to be sewn into rows. Time to get them back out and work on them.
