I hate when I get to the end of pinning and...Oh no! I hate when I get to the end of pinning and the batting or backing is to short. Have you ever pieced batting with Heat Press? It works great and I have done it while the quilt is being pinned. Just slid an ironing surface underneath the batting and pressed away. Now a too short backing isn't quite as easy.
