I forgot how much I missed working on these small 12 inch blocks by Lori Smith. I started them last year and have hand quilted each one and plan to sew them together in a quilt as you go method. First, I need to make a few more of the blocks so I have a nice sized quilt when I am done. This is the log cabin block and I am just doing two rows of hand stitching in each log.
Head on over to Kathy's Quilts and see what others are slow stitching on this weekend.
LOVE this block!! You're doing this as a QAYG? I've never done one, although it's tempting.
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks....your hand quilting looks really nice.
ReplyDeleteThese blocks were fun to make! I finished each of mine and I can't wait to see yours in a quilt - I may have to make mine again! ~Jeanne

ReplyDeleteA favorite block always, and so many possible variations.
ReplyDeleteLog cabins are one of my favorite. I did do a miniature but never a large quilt, maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block! And lots of quilting, look forward to seeing the finished project!
