I've been doing a FB challenge this week and have been making progress on a few things but only a little bit of purple. I'll show the rest of the progress tomorrow. I am hoping to have binding on a UFO for my slow stitching Sunday.... fingers crossed!
I added the middle to my dresden plate... and hit the black one too (silver). They all need to get hand appliquéd to their prepped background square still.
Then Friday Angela posted the row block for this month... I grabbed some scraps this morning and made my 9 blocks. So fun and quick to make. Love the grey with this purple!
There is also a some purple in my current 1857 block that I worked on this week - just have to add the bow to the stems and this one will be done.
Linking up with the
RSC Challenge this morning. Head on over and see what other light purples are being played with this week.
Pretty blocks! I am still struggling to use grays in my quilts. I love stone and concrete with my finished quilts during photo shoots, but using grays in my piecing is not high on my list. Someday maybe...
ReplyDeleteYour purple and gray RSC blocks are so pretty! I hadn't thought to t the ourple and gray together in the same block yet, but now I will!
ReplyDeleteToo many other projects on the go for me to play with PURPLE this week. Way to get a good start on it!!
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks, and you got them done so quickly!,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dresden flower and the 1857 block is so pretty Love them. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks for the week are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are fast! I love your Dresdens. They both look great but the black one is really appealing.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Dresdens all together. You have a good start on the month. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI love all the purple happening here! And that black dresden is really striking! (As in 'just what I need, a new idea to jump on' striking... *sigh* Thanks?)
ReplyDeleteI love that purple dresden plate.
ReplyDeletelove those Dresdens and your other block
ReplyDeleteI like that purple/gray combo too. And those Dresdens are wonderful. (I need to get my Dresdens from RSC last year put together and quilted too but at least mine are appliqued to the backgrounds already)!
ReplyDeleteYou have some pretty purples going on here in a nice variety of shades and projects :)
