Not much yellow this month but the bita and alternate blocks got made.
I brought a yellow beads block that I hope to work on later tonight in the hotel. I'm stitching this yellow set of qayg hexagons together now while the girl relaxes for a bit before we wander and explore Daytona.
Winter guard team competition is done. JV team placed 4th and Varsity placed 2nd. Both improved scores each competition.
A relaxing day at the beach before we head home tomorrow.
Linking up with the RSC.
Handwork is my favorite thing to do while relaxing in a hotel on a road trip. Glad the teams did well, and that you had a chance for some beach time too. The QAYG hexies are looking awesome.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, enjoying reading these southern posts. I've spent a number of happy vacations on Daytona Beach. Wonderful memories those kids are making!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the teams did well in their competition! Those hexie blocks look like the perfect travel project. Have a great time taking in the Daytona sights today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely beach scene--lucky you--a day at the beach is what we are looking forward to here--still windy and cold out there...
ReplyDeleteGlad your team did well in the competition...just great to have those hexies to work on ...hugs, Julierose
Congratulations to both teams! It's always a good thing to have a handwork project ready to go for just this occasion. Looks like a nice place to relax!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! The bita and alternate blocks are so beautiful! What a clever idea!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt should go hexagons are really coming along! It looks like you find them so that your stitches would show up? That’s how I am doing my much to the disappointment of my 92-year-old neighbor :-)
Enjoy your time at the beach! It looks beautiful!
