I ordered this dr seuss panel for a baby quilt. Emilys music teacher is due the end of November. Gender neutral as they are not sharing that info.
I think I will cut them and plan something around them. I'm hoping for a completion by Nov 1. I have 2 yards of music note fabrics for the back.

All 5 laid on Tuesday! One egg Wednesday. Wonder how many today?
I posted a photo with batting on top on celebrate hand quilting. Seems the batting should go on the top rail with the top! That was not in the video I watched! Another 2 hours fiddling with it yesterday and it is loaded. Hopefully it is good enough. I'll start hand quilting on it tonight. I had a girl scout planning meeting last night.
Another block added to the pile.
Errands for my FIL this morning. Prepping walls and moving stuff in this front room this afternoon. Hoping to paint Saturday, and yes the frame will be moved out of there when we paint.
Friday evening I have an awards banquet for volunteering with girl scouts.
I love Dr. Seuss's ABCs - I can still recite some of the book, lol! That's a great idea for a baby quilt - I've done that, too, along with a copy of the book. Good work by the hen ladies - you'll be making lots of egg dishes soon. Happy hand quilting tonight!

Cute panel idea for baby quilt;)))
ReplyDeleteHappy you got the quilt loaded and ready for hand quilting, Deb. Nice having that ratchett frame--my Grand-mere used two long poles over two dining chairs for her quilting and I remember helping her roll the quilt into a new position.
I am just not "into" this big block right now...it takes a ton of trimming for all the parts--and my rotary cutters are just not cutting cleanly --one totally new one and one with the blade just changed--could it be my mat??? Frustrating...Have you ever come across that problem???
Hugs from a puzzled Julierose ;???(
looks like you are busy on the quilt and got it loaded ok. We had a surprised baby in our family - my great niece doesn't really life close to any of us and she swore my sister - her grandma- to not tell anyone - so no one knew she was pregnant and she announced she had a baby boy to add to her family last month - I was very surprised!
