RSC Saturday...

Good thing I was able to sew a bit on Sunday... that is the only machine sewing I got all week. But... the spring blossoms got made and I found these little blocks in purple that I sewed together. They are about 12 inches now.... I think they will be surrounded by some purple friendship stars.... maybe some sewing time will happen later today to make that happen? First up is bowling for Emily and scouts for Aidan.

I did get some appliqué done this week in purples and green on my 1857 album blocks.  There were about 4 of the border  blocks done too... but I'm too lazy to go take a picture of them!

Linking up with Angela over at the RSC Challenge. What purple scraps will you be playing with today?

I really like those blossom blocks! I had to enlarge picture and look at them up close to see how they were made.

I was breezing through the RSC17 links until I landed here and have enjoyed spending time checking all your stuff - love your blocks

Love that "but I was too lazy to take a photo" phrase -- haven't we all felt that way at one point or another. Pretty flowers - can't wait for the real ones to arrive this Spring!

I'm playing with my purple scraps today and sorting out if I have enough to make more sprouts!

Spring Blossoms look very spring-y alright! That will make a great quilt. I'm curious to see what the other block will end up with; the squares, then friendship stars, then ?? Are you making it like a round robin? ;^)

Sometimes weekends are the only days when the machine is to be found. Glad you found some applique time to tide you over.

The spring blossom block is quite nifty. It looks complex but seems straight forward to sew. My favorite.
