November 1! How did that happen?

This is waiting in line at the school trick or treat on Friday night.

It was too hot for his Ninja Turtle costume with long arms and legs so he grabbed his soccer gear - from 2 years ago! He was a Ninja to school for a bit on Friday and then for actual trick or treating last night. Their first time going door to door in a neighborhood. WAY too much candy... which will be sent into school and shipped overseas to the troops. This is T and M with Emily and Aidan on Halloween.

Another long and unpredictable week for me. Lets just say Greg worked alone Friday and I had to go in Saturday with the kids and then today... and I get to work tomorrow. For now - I'll be working Sat-Monday for the next little while. The joys of owning your own business.

Not much sewing time at all this week..... but I did cut out some browns to surround those four patches I had made with leftovers from Greg's Labor Day quilt. I think I have 25 four patches... and some other blocks that size so we'll see how they turn out. Linking up with the RSC Challenge for the brown...... and can't wait to start with the light and bright greens for November.

I've been too tired this week to even do anything at the end of the day....so no progress has been made on my hand quilting of the Hugs and Kisses. If I can prep dinner and make sure I am all set for girl scouts tomorrow night - I think I might be able to put some stitches into this tonight with my feet up while relaxing in front of the tv. Hopefully the kids get up good tomorrow for school - the time changes really mess up their sleep schedule. Linking up with Slow Stitching Sunday with hopes I can join in with some slow, relaxing, stitches this evening.

Life don't you hate when it gets in the way. The time change should make waking up on time a bit easier, as long as they don't fall asleep early tonight! Hopefully, things will turn around soon so you can claim your stitching time back.

I hate the time changes though fall is easier than the spring one. The kids are so cute in their costumes!

I hope you had time for some slow relaxing stitching. It sounds like you need it!

It looks like the kids enjoyed their Halloween. Mine have graduated to handing out the candy, yet there is still too much in the house. Trick-or-treating numbers fluctuate from year to year and I never know how much to have ready. This year I guessed too high!

Sounds like the business is keeping you busy these days. Hope that everything settles down soon. Looks like the kids had fun for Halloween.

I hope you managed some stitching last night Deb, it sounds like you really needed to chill out and relax. I know how hard that can be when you're running your own business, family and home though! Can't imagine what it's like to be hot on Halloween - it's usually chucking it down here, but it has been unusually mild for a change :)

Ugh ... that doesn't sound good at the shop. Hope you can get that resolved soon to regain a little of your stitching time. We have leftover candy that didn't get handed out. When we were working, we could take the leftover candy to work and let our co-workers feast on it. Now ... I'm not sure what to do with it. At least we made sure we bought candy that we don't really like all that much ... to help us resist chowing down on it ourselves. ;-)

Sorry to hear that your work hours are interfering with your quilting. Your little BROWN bordered 4-Patch blocks are SEW cute!!

The time change really does affect us all :)

You know, it's okay to have those weeks. You are a busy mum, your family run their own business - that's no mean feat. Give yourself a pat on the back for all the amazing things you do.
