Another night of being up for an hour or two in the middle of the night... so I decided to review where I was in some projects. Must take the kindle out of the bedroom for if it happens again tonight. I believe I have 11 midget appliqué blocks to go in the set of 52. With 7 weeks left in the year, I think this is an attainable goal to have all 52 blocks done and surrounded by yellow by the end of the year. Not too bad considering I started them in January with the plan of one a week.
The acorn was today's posting, snuggled in with the rest of them! Quite a slew of 4.5 inch blocks I have collected.

I encountered the same thing last night. Not fun. Your tiny blocks are really going to make a fabulous quilt ... I love what I see so far.
I hate when that happens; sleep for a couple of hours and then "Eyes Wide Open"--ack!! I usually get up and read or watch a video....to try to get sleepy.
Your quilt is so lovely--it will be special for sure....hugs, Julierose
It was a night for waking up at odd hours. Must be daylight savings. The yellow borders are so cheerful. Looks like you are almost done. Ready for a new handwork project?
What fun to see all the Midget blocks together! The yellow borders make them pop, but also give a vintage-homey feel.
So I'm on the other side of the world and my girlfriends and I have been complaining about 'middle of the night' wide awakes too. Hmm, something in the cosmos perhaps? I got up and did some ironing. Your quilt is looking fantastic.
