Easter weekend

I have yet to go sew any red with my machine, but I did get some hand work RSC in this week. I added pink and blue string beads blocks this week and finished up the second red one last weekend. I plan on making 16 of these.

After going with Emily to horses and watching F1 qualifying with Aidan, I took a little 'me' time. I went for a haircut and then a nice relaxing pedicure. I also picked up an Easter Lily for my MIL tomorrow while I was out. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my Mom and Dad today as well.

My FIL was released from rehab yesterday and is settled in at home. Let's just say it has been a stressful week and I'm glad to be on the other end of it. I think most of the kids extra activities are over for the year as they roll into testing time - AICE and Florida state. The AICE ones are for college credit.

Tomorrow we are heading to my MIL's house and will go out for Easter lunch and then will play some games at her house. Nice and relaxing.

Audiobooks - I finished 'The Twisted Women's Book Club' by various authors through my Audible. I just started 'The Women' by Kristin Hannah on my Libby app. Netflix - I watched The Residence. It was just the right mix of mystery/comedy and drama for me this week.

Linking up Saturday with the RSC and Sunday with Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitchers

Your string of beads blocks are so pretty, Deb! I love the design they make. So glad you have hand stitching to do when you don't have time for anything at the machine. Hope your FiL does okay back at home again and the kids on their testing. Have a nice relaxing Easter!

it sounds like it was a stressful week and that you needed that present of a pedicure - I really need to do that one day as it is getting harder to get those nails clip as I get older and need to think of doing it on a regular basis. Glad FIL is home and hopefully will do well and that the kids do well on upcoming test. Love that quilt progress. I am looking into Audible for more variety my library just doesn't have much and I have to pay a bit for a card to the state library - I think I will do audible instead - how do you like it - easy to use?

Lovely additions to your String of Pearls project and kudos on grabbing some "me" time in the midst of a stressful week! Best of luck to E and A on their upcoming exams, Deb. Happy Easter to you and yours!
