I added 6 BITA blocks. I just need 5 more next month and then I can start assembling my rainbow of blocks.
I added the second red string of beads block this month, along with two pinks, two blues and a yellow. I have another gold yellow prepped that I'll start working on later this evening. These are hand applique. I need to add some orange, teal and maybe bright green? White would not show on the background. I plan 16 blocks for these.

This hawk was on the fence when I got home from school with Emily today. Aidan was late with some AICE testing prep after school. Emily has some AICE prep for 2 classes tomorrow morning at school.
When I messed up making the BITA blocks back in January, I ended up with this 'Alternate' block. I really need to come up with a name for them. I added 8 in red this month.

One 16 patch block in red. I realize I need to make one more of these. I have a couple of parts made and will sew a few more as I am making the Table Scrap Challenge. I hope to link up with that Saturday afternoon.

You've been busy sewing red blocks, they are all beautiful. That's a handsome guy visiting!
Your BITA blocks are just so gorgeous, Deb, You have great projects on the go...
It's teeming rain here--which we really need in our drought condition--so a good day to unpin my finally finished up "Blues in the Night" hand quilting...then onto trimming and finding fabric to make binding...
Enjoy the rest of your "reds sewing...
Hugs, Julierose
My motto is there are no mistakes in quilting, just creative opportunities and learning experiences. Your "invented" block is the perfect example. So much accomplished this week!
Nice work on your RED scrap sewing, Deb. Here's hoping that Mr. Hawk stays OUT of the hen house!!
That hawk might be checking out your chickens for lunch! Yay for some red scrappy sewing this week - I love those BITA blocks. The string of beads design is looking great!
So pretty!! The string of beads blocks are looking wonderful together. Love those BITA blocks too and a whole rainbow of them will be beautiful.
I really like how your bead blocks are coming along--like how the black makes a wheel design in the centers--nice day here--but boy do we need rain!!! hugs, di
The string of beads blocks are looking so lovely!
A really productive Red month. Do you have chickens? Is the hawk after your chickens?
