Slowing down on a Sunday

Every week Kathy reminds us to slow down, breathe and relax with some slow stitching. I did a little prep work yesterday and marked the hand stitching line on about 7 blocks (flowering snowball and shoo fly - cut by my Accuquilt to finish at 12 inches.). I plan to slowly add some stitches each day and build this new quilt the old fashioned way. I'm calling my version of this 'Flying Snowballs'. I pulled blues, purples and greens from my stash for the colors.

I did stitch up the purple flowering snowball block yesterday and just need to stitch the 2 rows together for the shoo fly block. Needle and thread. Fabric and some nice relaxing stitches.

Linking up with Kathy and the Slow Sunday Stitchers.

It sounds like one kid is headed to Grandma's house today and will go watch the F1 movie in the theater. The other one has not decided if she is going or not. I plan to press and roll the Arkansas Traveller top and it's pieced backing onto boards so it is ready to pin for machine quilting. Some pool time might also happen!

The flying snowball blocks look wonderful, Deb! You're making good progress on that. Kevin went to see the F1 movie last weekend and really liked it. I bet Aidan will, too!
