Slow Stitch Monday

I've been sitting on the bed putting a few slow stitches into Easy Street. Yes, it lives on the bed and is in use but has not quite gotten all the binding sewn down. Hopefully over the next few days I can remedy that. See the cool binding clips I got for Christmas?

The rose is for all those up in the north with all the snow. This is a rose in bloom out front right now. I guess I didn't kill all the bushes when I hacked them all back in November. =)

Head on over to Kathy's Quilts to see some other slow stitching.

I love that you are using Easy Street as you finish it! A woman after my own heart!!! We are on our way south and the temps are almost balmy (to us) - I think it is right around 30 degrees in the W VA mountains tonight. ~Jeanne

Sewing on Easy Street while you use it ... good for you. It took forever for me to slow stitch the binding onto the back of mine.

I love those binding clips ... I bought a package and it was one of my wisest quilting investments! I can't tell you the number of times I got poked by pins holding the binding in place while I was stitching it down.

Those clips are great! I love that you are using the quilt, while still stitching the binding :)
Thanks for linking up and being a regular contributor to Slow Sunday Stitching! Best wishes for 2014!

I got some clips too, haven't used them to do a binding yet, but I do use them to hold two hexies together when I stitch them together. It makes them easier to hold and I don't have get pains in my hands from holding them together tightly, the clip does the trick! I love sleep under my Double Irish Chain but I did put the binding on first! LOL Happy New Year!

We are getting snow right now :). When the ice storm went through just before Christmas my sister Glenda lost power on Dec 21 and it still has not been restored. They live on a country property and thankfully they do have a generator but can only use it for short periods of time.

Love that you are using the quilt even before the binding is done. The binding clips are great! Whoever thought of the must be a quilter.

The binding clips are amazing. I have both that size and the larger size and they sure come in handy.

I enjoy doing the binding, but I don't have those clips. I keep telling myself to get some. Your rose is beautiful. Everything here is dead.
