Carla posted this last week and I admit I was a little intrigued. It is a hand pieced Trip around the World quilt with 2 inch squares. Well, I have a little basket of 2 inch squares and strips of 2 inch fabrics that I have been trimming off from scraps this year. I pulled a few and while waiting at the dentist with the kids today I got this far. That includes drawing the 1/4 inch sewing line on the back of each of them. Thanks Carla for posting about this so I had something to do for the hour I was waiting on the kids today.

Lovely! I would never have the nerve to hand piece it. :)

Addicts always blame someone else...hee hee...quilting is such a wonderful addiction!
Oh, I love your start and just think it can get as big as you want! The last row is quarter square triangles, how simple. I love seeing how it changes with each row, and in antique TATW, since scraps were used, similar colored prints were often combined in the outer rows and it still looks wonderful. Hope your having as much fun as I am.
Hmmmmm ... I have a die that cuts 2.5" squares (finish at 2"). I wonder if I could run through a bunch of the fabric that I don't have a clue what to do with and make a hand-pieced TATW like you and Carla! I have vowed to wait until my MWFG is done (it's my portable project), but wow, I love the TATW anyway, and now that you and Carla are doing one, I wouldn't want you two to be the only ones, right?
Uh oh... I sense a new RSC quilt coming on!
Glad you are enjoying the hand piecing... Carla can be an influence for sure! LOL! Both of you are doing stellar work! Kathi
