Since they are on duty for dinner I think I'll get a little hand work in today on my midget appliqué block. I need to undo that one leaf and add the 12 leaves so I can call this one finished.
It looks like rain today so I'll bring some 2.5 inch squares and my pencil and ruler to work - I might have time to mark some hand sewing lines on the back of the squares for the trip around the world block. Time to start the downward slopes on that one this week.
Head on over to Kathy's Quilts to see what other slow stitches are being worked on today.

I so enjoy watching your hand pieced blocks grow each month... what a great quilt that will be!
I love the purple shades in the blocks :)
Lucky you getting to stitch! I got my wing finished earlier but then spent several hours on making homemade pizza and cooking it on the grill. It was worth it! So yummy. Still need to do clean up and then maybe I can at least give that eagle a beak.
There is always progress of some kind happening here. Unlike my place!
You are making the Midget blocks! I have collected ALL the block patterns since I found them 3 years ago. I have several boxes of 30's repros just waiting for me to impulsively start. But alas, I have so many others on the go.

Steady progress on your projects! Have a great week!
I never thought I was a fan of purple, but seeing your Midget block and your TATW is making me re-think that. ;-)
Oh your TATW just sparkles--lovely work...are you using a specific pattern?? I want to start one for my Summer handwork project....hugs, Julierose
