RSC Saturday....

I have yet to really play with light purple other than my row this month... I do have some houses that need to get made... but..... I decided to pull out a UFO that I started in 2012 and finished the blocks in 2013. There are 49 blocks done with the Grandmothers Choice sew along  according to this post.... but I seem to only have 48. Must go searching of that missing block and thanks to my writing about it on the blog I know that the tan floral fabric under this in the drawer goes with this project for sashing and not the one below it! Good to know. I hope to do some slicing and dicing of that floral fabric and start sewing some sashing strips to get this one moving this afternoon.

First up - my walk (woo hoo me - I've been walking daily since school started on the 10th, watching my portion size and drinking lots of water and I lost 3 pounds! Ok - had a bad last weekend and gained the 2 pounds back but they are gone for good now. Lets hope it continues as I seem to have gained 10 in the last year and 5 since April! Time to get it off.) My motto is move more and eat less. Good thing I love salads since that is my lunches with various leftover meats from dinner thrown on them. So far so good. Then..... trimming bushes and weeding... while on the lookout for slithering things as the lot next door started being cleared out for a house yesterday. Did I mention I don't like snakes?

Linking up with Angela for the RSC Challenge. Head on over and get inspired.

Wow, you finished all your blocks for the Sister's choice. I have 4 made and then put it all away. It's going to be a beautiful quilt, hope it all goes together quickly. Congrats on the weight loss. I'm on the same strategy and it's working!

I love your purple WiP! Hope you find that last block so you can get it put together - it's so perfect for the month of August. Congratulations on getting a good start with your weight loss. Moving more and eating less worked for me, too!

A perfect quilt to work on with this month's colors! It is gorgeous. Like you, I've been moving more and eating less (especially carbs). I've lost only 2 pounds since last month, but dropped a size and my blood work is back within normal cholesterol ranges. So, it's all good. Looking forward to seeing a finish on this quilt soon!

That will be a great quilt!

I was eating less and moving more. Then my son came home from college, and I started buying snacks. He is 6' and 140 lbs., so he needs snacks, but I do not. Then it got HOT, so I started moving less.

So Sept. 1, I start moving more and eating less again.

Good luck on finding that hiding block! And isn't a blog perfect for keeping notes for yourself?

These blocks and color choices are beautiful together! I agree that blogging helps the memory! Hehe, I've had to refer to posts also when I've been away from a project too long!
