A new project....Sweet Confetti

Sunday Best Quilt Book

This will be my last RSC week challenge block! It was a last minute switch from Starling - which took too much fabric for scrappy to Sweet Confetti - which is much scrappier friendly. This pattern can be found in the book 'Sunday Best Quilts' by Sherri McConnell and Corey Yoder. I won this one from a prize giveaway for Happy Little Things. I love this book - so bright and cheerful. I need 96 blocks for Sweet Confetti. I started with 6 bright and light greens and will continue with 10 each month in the RSC color. I'll wait until November to assemble them so I have a good mix of colors.

Another two bright friendship star and nine patch were also added. I think I'll get another 8 sewn this month if I continue with one a day.

A few more of the Stashbuster 2020 block were made this week too.

Linking up to the RSC Challenge on Saturday. I'll be at a Thinking Day event with my troop where we will be handing out green clover leaf swaps since we chose Ireland! I'll be checking the link up's later on Saturday or Sunday.... depending of if the kids let me have computer time or not. It might be gardening time....as they burned off the weeds last Saturday and we have been pulling the rest this week in the nice cool temps in Florida so we should be ready to plant this weekend.

I like all of the blocks you have chosen to do. I never feel like doing that many but if I did maybe I could make a dent in the scraps?

I really like the Sweet Confetti blocks and picture of the finished quilt from the book. They look like flying geese with little sweet bow ties on! Formal Flying Geese! lol...(Sorry for the silliness but I love FG)

I love that little friendship star block--I am in a quandry as I made a whole piece for RSC January--don't think I want to do that again--so am trying to choose an easy block--perhaps log cabins?? I am hemming and hawing (but not yet able to sew--so frustrated-- beyond belief!!;000)
hugs, Julierose

Have fun at Thinking Day! I remember making swaps with my troop back in the day. Looks like a great block for RSC, not to complex, but still interesting.

I really like your blocks, especially the Scrapbuster one. Where can I find that challenge?
I have never made a quilt from Sunday Best, but I love the book and fully intend to make quilts from it "someday"!

Those confetti blocks are just great! They'll make a pretty quilt in a rainbow of colors! Sounds like that book was the perfect win for you, Deb.

Oh that's a very interesting block and should work well for RSC. I am trying to be good and not start another quilt. I have a box of old shirting fabric, that I want to make into a T Quilt and now I keep seeing that block and it is tempting me to start. But, for now, I will wait! But it's so hard!

Terrific blocks for the RSC Challenge. Sweet Confetti is a lovely pattern. Even the weeds aren't surviving the relentless heat and lack of rain here.

So many beautiful RSC projects! Your Stashbuster blocks look great, love the Sweet Confetti blocks, and my favorites are the friendship star/nine-patch combination blocks. All look fabulous!

Great pattern for the RSC and love the first 6 blocks. Hope your thinking day event was fun - my troop just got our confirmation email today and we will be prepping to represent Mexico this year!

Oh, Sweet Confetti looks like fun! Enjoy the making of the blocks and the ultimate block-arranging that's in the future. What a great idea for RSC!
