Fabrics and thread for the calming win

Emily had a winter guard practice (yes, it is spring break week but next Thursday is Championship and their last performance and end of season).

Since we live away, I just stayed in the car and listened to my audiobook. I finished 'The man who died twice'. I also got 9 hexagons stitched and refilled the box of clips! The granny also got the grey added around it.

Before that I was in the sewing room cutting hst and sewing them up. I just need to cut and add the big triangle to these birds in the air blocks in yellow.

I also did my 8 'alternate' blocks and just need to add their big triangles.

I should be able to do that today.

Happy Friday, Deb. I wish Emily and the rest of the team all the best in the competition next week. It is good to get in all the practice time one can get until then. Sounds like you made good time while waiting. All of your projects look fabulous. I wish you a wonderful weekend. Hugs.

You are really flying along with the hexies--good work...
Good luck to Emily in the competition...I am quilting my 3rd Dark days block with running stitches and some "stick stitches to hold the raw woven strips in place...slow, enjoyable work...
the Cinese track looks really strange--like a snake !! Such long sweeping curves...Glad to see Hamilton make top for Sprint quali...hugs for a wonderful weekend...Julierose

Glad you got so much done while waiting for Emily! The yellow bita and alternate blocks look great. Yellow is a happy color to sew with - lifts my mood every time!
