Heart update....

You know what happens when you lay out blocks in a house with cats!

They think you laid them out for them to SIT ON! Silly Peanut.  I just counted and have 13 more prepped. So I guess you can get 40 - 5.5 inch squares from a yard of fabric? I have 2 bonus hearts prepped but ran out of the background. I have no clue how these will land in a quilt but they are coming along nicely.

Greg is having a bad back pain day.... so I took an hour off work this morning to bring the kids to school to drop off Aidan's textbooks and library books and pick up Emily's summer reading - 2 books this year. No ruberic for the report again this year so I asked the 6th grade Cambridge ELA teacher about it on Remind. She was at school and went and checked as she was not happy it was not handed out last year with the book. Turns out they are preparing to be paperless to begin the school year.... makes me wonder if it will be virtual again.
I took another hour off to meet up with my bowling team captain to collect my money awards from the league I bowl in on Thursdays. I have opted not to bowl in the fall, I'll take a year off and see how things are next year at this time. Enclosed space with a bunch of lovely ladies - but I don't want to be the one to make them sick. I do have to say as I was waiting, there was a league going in, all older (Over 60 - most in the 70-80 range) and ONE single person wore a mask. One...... out of at least 30 that went in! Sigh.... Their choice but I do not want that on my conscience!

I think the schools are at least going to have virtual ready in case it becomes necessary. Hopefully we will all be at school though. Sad that you will miss bowling, but eventually things have to go back to normal, right? Or some version of what normal is going to turn into. Lovely purple hearts. Always nice to have something prepped.

Sad comment about not wearing masks--
i do wonder if all schools will have to be virtual until we get a handle on this virus--not an easy choice--but safety first...

take care--good choice on the bowling-- difficult as it is...

sad about so few wearing masks and in a space like a bowling alley - I used to bowl I know how close you get with those high fives! I hope the hubby's back pain was better as the day went by

You would think that with all the people COVID-19 has killed around the world, people could put on a face mask to protect the people around them! Sigh...

Love all of your hearts. Sadly, many are treating the virus as if it is over. Far from it and I fear we are going to realize that very soon with our behavior. When refusing to do something as simple as wearing a mask to protect yourself and the people around you, it, sadly, says a lot about the people of our nation. ~Jeanne

Love all those hearts and Peanut is so cute!!!!sorry hubby is having a bad back day--
I am certainly continueing to wear my mask and social distancing as much as possible--out Covid count here goes up every single day--and has ---
and now with the huge crowds here for the space shuttle --
oh my goodness did you see the huge crowds--shoulder to shoulder--hardly any with masks on-and from all over--
so I know this county's count will go way up in another week or so--
I think some think that because so many things are back in business and they can go out--it is over and there is really noting to worry about--I do have my days when I think this should be over by now--isn't it yet????
have a great day--luv, di

Your hearts are lovely, Deb! They look like a sweet and calming project, which we all need right now. I've been wondering how Greg was doing. Hope the appt with the pain clinic is coming up soon! Masks are such a hit or miss thing - we always wear ours, but definitely not everyone does. I can't blame you for wanting to stay away from the bowling league.
