Tuesday....

No, I am not sitting in feels like over 100 degree weather watching Em ride today! Thank goodness Greg is not working today.... so I tapped him to take her. I was on an on-line seminar for a couple of hours and managed my time well!

I got some hearts appliqued. I finished off one of my spools of silk thread. I had stopped last week and purchased a similar blender color but.... I decided to check my guitterman supply for purple. I found 3 spools - one was too light but the other 2 worked. After working with the silk for applique... I have to say I think I prefer the cotton. It just seemed to work better on the needle turn for me today. Not perfect (as nothing I ever do is!) but I am down to 4 hearts left to stitch. These got added to the finished pile today.

Now to prep dinner and get it in the oven. Not the best for a hot day.... but it's what I took out so I'm going with it. Chuck roast (cream of mushroom soup and an onion soup mix) over carrots, potato, onion and I might throw some mushrooms in.

I always do a beef roast in the crockpot - kitchen doesn't get too hot and the roast falls apart how I like it.
little by little you will have enough hearts to work with

I also do pot roast in the slow cooker--we have a small one that holds 1/2 of a bottom round roast (there's just two of us) and it leaves enough for left overs for the next day. I just use beef broth and pre-seared roast and onions in olive oil...we are die hard mashed potato lovers so usually it's accompanied by those....

Your purple hearts look so lovely...I am going to begin a hexagon project...so right now am die cutting freezer paper templates to iron on...blues, purples greens with pops of pins and yellow...that's the plan anyway...and trying to bind all my little RSC projects --nothing new until that is D O N E ....;000

I am feeling a lot better; for the most part, the vertigo and gone away...just moving slowly. Hot and humid here...so in AC today

I think your hearts look great! Such a pretty variety of purples. Do you do needle turn applique? I haven't learned that yet, so I used freezer paper when I did mine. I noticed it was tricky to get a smoothly rounded edge, although they still look like hearts, lol! Yor dinners always sound good!
