Tiny Tuesday Variation.....

I finally got to #58 - Diamond Fields. This one has lots of little itty bitty hexies........ I had never done a hexie and was a wee bit intimidated. Well, I decided I'd try a little flower instead and applique it to a square for this block. I think it came out pretty cute..... and fear once my hand quilting on the QSAQ blocks are done I will have a long term hexie block project!

I did find a very helpful website of hexies in various sizes you can print out here. I believe I used the 3/4 inch ones for this block.

Yesterday the kids planted a little garden that I picked up at Lowes a couple of weeks ago. I had them do this project with Grammy R who is visiting from Vermont. Now they can show her the progress of their gardens when they skype with her weekly.
