I had such big plans for getting a bunch of quilting done today. Not going to happen.
Emily was up at 4AM - had to go potty (she had already gone and needed help wiping) and then said her belly hurt. Since I am so stuffed up still I am sleeping in the sewing room - she climbed in with me. Bad choice on my part - she is a wiggler and I don't think I got more than 30 minutes of sleep when the other one came in at 6:30 - WIDE awake and ready for the day.
We had a delivery scheduled today and they were to call between 7:30-8:30 with a time estimate. Didn't call until 9:40 saying between 1-5. Grandma came and got the kids for the double kid Saturday (I have a wonderful MIL!) I headed out to pick up some much needed cat food (completely out - oops!) and a few other things and back home for lunch. Had to clear out the fridge for the delivery and while doing that they arrived - early. All set up and the fridge is refilled and I am so happy with my Christmas present. Yes, it does not take much to make me happy. I'll fill the freezer later - that all fit in the other one in the play room. This is my first fridge with water/ice in the door. I think it will come in real handy down here in Florida. The kids drink tons of water and Emily likes hers with ice so now they should be able to fill up their cups themselves. I've run though the gallon or two of water already so just need to dump the first batch or two of ice and then we'll be all set to use it.
I am exhausted so I'm going to curl up on the couch with Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and some hand quilting and relax for the rest of the afternoon until the kiddo's arrive home.
I did make a bunch of progress this week though. I have the two pinwheel tops completed and ready to get pinned once I feel like pressing the backing fabric.
I have both bindings made for those quilts. This one is the same as the outer border and the other one is very scrappy with some of every color in the binding. The hope was to get both pinned and one quilted today. Maybe one will get quilted tomorrow before or after the dance recital in the afternoon. We'll see. I'm taking the day off so it is possible I can sneak away and sew for an hour or two in the morning while Daddy entertains the kids.
Movie time for me. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend.

Congrats on the new fridge! I know from experience with kids in Florida - you will love having the water and ice dispenser on the door! Hope the rest of your day was piece-ful!
I like a frig that has ice and water in the door!
LOVE the blue border on your rainbow quilt! It came together beautifully. Very striking quilt!
Congratulations on your new fridge! I would LOVE a french-door refrigerator!! But ours is only 4 years old, so it'll be a while. ;-)
