#20 - Woman's Suffrage block

The block for week 20 is called Memory Wreath.
This was very simple to put together.

I've been trying a few new things in the kitchen - mostly to try and save time in meal prep. I also found I love potatoes but they just don't last down here in the very warm and humid Florida weather. I've been baking them in the oven while I am cooking something else. ( the half of the bag that I didn't use for mashed potatoes or potato salad.). Then I just store them in the crisper and pull them out when I want some quick hash browns in the mornings with eggs (dice with skins on and add onion, pepper or whatever is in the veggie bin), or quick twice baked potato or potato skins in the evenings.
Is there some time saving thing you do in the kitchen that you would care to share with me?
Thanks for stopping by.

If I am preparing something like a meatloaf or whatever, I always make at least 2. One for now and one for the freezer for later. I love to cook once and eat 2 or 3 times but with my eldest son back home there never seems to be enough leftovers!

I like the Memory Wreath block! I am always trying to save time in the kitchen. When I cook, I almost always make at least two meals or more and freeze the leftovers in individual servings. I freeze pancakes, waffles, bacon, cheese, bread, casseroles, soups, cookies, pies, ... When my boys were in high school, I spent each fall filling the freezer with individual meals so everyone could eat at home during the football/volleyball (husband coached) season. Now I try to keep the freezer full so I can spend more time sewing! ~Jeanne
