I got all 12 of the red 9 patches done and now am starting to work on the apples. This is the first two that I managed to get done on Friday. I'll decide about adding a little leaf in there once they are done. I may just add a leaf or two on a few of the apples. Two down and eleven to go! I really like how this is starting to look.
Next week I'll have to make my snails trail blocks. Thank goodness there are five weeks of red to play with this month. Who knows, maybe I'll have the apples done and sewn together with the 9 patches!
Head on over to SoScrappy and see what other red projects are in the works this week.

Your crumb blocks make such a nice collection. I like your plan for the white sashing. Sounds like a nice quilts. Leaves on some of the apples sounds adorable too. Making design decisions is such a fun part of the process.
I think a leaf or two on the apples will make it really sweet ... it's certainly coming along nicely! I love those crumb blocks ... the idea of a sashing to group them into blocks of 4 sounds perfect! Happy stitching!
Love your crumb blocks! And your red nine patch and red apple blocks! You go girl :D
Fun idea for the white sashing...that will make the colours pop. I miss crumb piecing...maybe I should do some of that this coming week
I love the apple quilt in progress - how fun.
The apple quilt is already so cute - what a great inspiration you had!
Your apples are so cute!
Great crumb blocks. I think that is what I am doing this week Red crumbs. Great start on the apples.
The apple nine patch looks great. It's a terrific way to use up scraps.
The blocks are coming along great. I love all the bright reds you used. I don't have a great scrap stash when it comes to colors, mostly prints.
