Slow Stitching Sunday.

The new header photo was taken Saturday morning on Satellite Beach at sunrise. A beautiful sight.
It was rather chilly on the beach but the kids had fun building sand castles with moats and swimming in the heated pool. I even got to meet Angela from SoScrapy who so kindly popped over to the beach so the kids could enjoy their beach time while I visited.

Today I will be doing a little hand stitching of some blue hexagon flowers as I am riding home. Some beach pictures to share with all of you with snow this weekend. It was chilly with the breeze and temps in the very low 60's. Very unlike the 80's we had the rest of the week.

A chilly morning walk after watching the sunrise.

Emily hit the beach as soon as we checked into the hotel on Friday night.

What will you be hand stitching today? Head on over to Kathy's Quilts and see what other slow stitches are being taken today.

Ooooh, now I know what you mean about your new header ... I was thinking about the beach header that you switched to last week. This one is FABULOUS!

I'm with Emily ... the first thing I do as soon as we get checked in is head out to the beach and get my toes in the sand and my feet in the water! Good girl, Em!

60 would be warm compared to what we've been having ... but I'm sure going to hope for some warmer weather when we get to Hilton Head next week! I'll take some low 80's!

What a stunning picture. I'm lucky enough to live 10 mins walk from the beach, but in hampshire, UK! I love hexies too!

Ahhhh, reminds me of when we lived in Naples, FL and could walk to the beach every day! And now we are shivering in IA...it was 19 yesterday but no snow yet, thank goodness!

My favorite time at the beach is during the winter! We used to spend the week between Christmas and New Year's on St. George Island (in the panhandle, near Appalachicola) and it was the best beach time ever!
