Sunday....

I survived.... and we still had all adults and children alive and well this morning after a night at the drive in with 500 other girl scouts! Thank goodness the weather went north... and other than a few sprinkles when setting up and at the start of the movie it was clear and warm around 68-70 all night.

Our tents this morning as the sun was rising.
John at the drive in goes all out for us... he closed to the public for our event, fed us dinner, free popcorn and soda refills until midnight and served us breakfast in the morning. He even brewed coffee and cocoa and had it out for the wee hours for those staying up to watch the movies. Movies played until 4:50 this morning. I confess I headed into the tent to lay down during Goosebumps 2... and listened to most of the last movie from in there. It will be an early night tonight for me.

After our ritual photo's of the girls in front of the concession stand wall....which I did not get this year but another Mom did... we hit Dunkin donuts on the way home. Emily is in bed sleeping. I got a shower and teeth brushed and feel so much better. Time to sit and relax with some slow stitching and remember the fun the girls had and the great memories they made.
Movie #2 was a little scary for a bunch of them so they went into a tent and Ms. Jill had brought UNO. They had a blast learning and playing that game with about 6 of the 10 girls. It was fun listening to them inside the tent playing with flash lights from inside going all around! A few came out for the Grinch movie #3... but a few fell asleep as it was close to midnight!

Hope they are all set to sing tomorrow night. We are singing some Christmas carols to residents at an assisted living facility with the other girl scout troops that meet Monday's at our Church.

Linking up with Kathy and the other slow Stitchers today as I get a few more stitches in on the baby hearts quilt since I finished off the dish cloth a little while ago.

Emily made some muffins - cherry and chocolate chip - pretty yummy. Recipe can be found here.

Lots of wonderful moms and the nice drive-in owner make for a fun experience for those girls! I bet you are tired today, though. Hope you've had a chance to do a little stitching!
