I did a short walk with Emily this morning and we saw this flock of turkeys. We waited for them to cross the road in front of us then they were about 6-8 feet from us here on the lawn.
I took a break from work this morning to get some water and came back to this. Now how am I to sit in my chair with Ollie laying on it? Normally I sit and he lays between me and the back of the chair. Silly boy. Peanut usually lays down in his black bed.... or when he wants attention right in front of my laptop which he is blocking. Occasionally he sits on my lap and pretends to type on the keyboard. Silly boys.
We have seen a band or two of rain come through. Not bad. We played a new to me game yesterday and again today. It uses logic and strategy. I love it! It is called QWIXX. Aidan gets a little upset after a game or two when things don't go his way..... we are working on it. Emily just kicked both our butts this last game with a high score of 80! I got my 4th penalty to end the game. My strategy didn't work out this time but most of us had fun!
Em is in the pool with Dad supervision. Think I'll lay down and see if the headache goes away before I have to think about dinner.

I hope Florida stays calm for you and not tons of rain - pretty applique
I recall following your progress on the 1857 quilt and thinking how does one do such a quilt in only 2 colours. I stopped at 36 blocks also. Not quilted yet. I have no idea what I would do.
Love the purple top--and a good goal for Sept--
and those kitties are just too cute!!!
I am on Plan B for the travel to Fl--will fly out next Monday instead of today as today's flight got cancelled--!!! so I have another week here to play and have fun and to get into trouble!!!!!!lol

Oh that looks awesome in the purple and greens! Glad to hear that you are safe and sound. Looks like it won't be as bad as first predicted, well except for the Bahamas I can't imagine what they have been thru!
That is one lovely quilt--I love the purples and cream combo.
Stay safe hugs, Julierose
I love this Deb - it is going to be a wonderful quilt! It seems a bit weird but just the other day I was looking through my downloaded quilt patterns and I looked at this one in particular. When these blocks were released I knew that I would want to make this quilt - but not yet. ;)
Very pretty and hopefully Dorian and the headache will go away! SOON
I love your 1857 quilt, the purples are beautiful, so different from most of the quilts. Hope your headache went away. Happy Stitching!
Good luck with the purple project! Love those turkeys :)
I remember those blocks! You'll have a Mardi Gras quilt when you're finished. :-)
Precious kitties just want to lean how to do what you are doing.
