I've been playing with my scraps .....
I showed this trip around the world block earlier this week. It is hand pieced 2.5 inch squares and this block should finish around 30 inches square.
I also used my 2.5 inch squares to make these 16 patch blocks...... and I'm working on some X blocks to make a scrappy Goodnight Irene Quilt! I have a slew of 4.5 inch neutral blocks cut and ready for more X blocks. I think this will be 5x7 for a block set.
Thank goodness there is one more Saturday this month! I still need to make my card trick block and cut out the alternate blocks for the Sampler.
Head on over and see what others are working on today. I'm off to work on a rainy Saturday.

Nice trip around the world block and your Good Night Irene quilt is going to be amazing!! You have a fabulous start!
Impressive trip around the world block. I love Goodnight Irene quilt. Your blocks are stunning.
Lovely blocks; the Goodnight Irene looks promising. I've never seen it in just two colours before.
The TAW block is such a good idea . . . Happy stitching!
The TATW block turned out great! Are you going to make more of them?
Love your TATW ... I assume you'll be adding more blocks in the other colors? And of all the Goodnight Irenes I've seen, I like yours the best ... of course, I'm not much of a fan of the totally random scrappy quilts, so it makes sense that a controlled scrappy like yours would be far more appealing to me. ;-)
I really like your X blocks. Great job!
Nice 16's alternating with "X" blocks--cool! Hugs, Julierose
Busy lady! The two projects look amazing.
Love the TATW. I have an almost completed WIP same as what you call Goodnight Irene but the block is called Arkansas Crossroads.
Love your blue projects. You have busy.
I do like like your X blocks. You are sewing up a storm!
Beautiful Trip Around the World block! Goodnight Irene is a fun pattern, looks like you've got a good start on that one too.
Your Trip Around the World color placement is perfect! Good Night Irene is coming along nicely, too! Busy week.
It has been a long month for Saturdays. It is nice to have plenty of time to make a dent in the blue. Those blocks for your Goodnight Irene quilt look great. Love the variety in your background fabrics.
