Slow Stitching Sunday....

Time to start on the first border of Hugs and Kisses. I used a % off coupon on top of a sale on Thursday and got this template for a little over $2. The marking pen I got....didn't show dark enough and faded quickly so I used a pencil to mark it instead. One side is marked..... I plan to start quilting this one later tonight. I got a thorn in my pointer finger on Friday weeding so no needle and thread until today since it finally stopped hurting. We'll see how the left hand does..... smushed it in the wall closet Friday afternoon when putting towels away. Don't ask how I did that one ... must slow down but boy did it hurt.

Linking up with Kathy at Kathy's Quilts for Slow stitching Sunday. Head on over and check out some neat projects.

So exciting that you are ready to quilt the borders. But you must protect your precious hands... you need them for quilting!

Yikes--you have really done your hands in! I think a slow down is definitely in order. That quilting will be lovely...I need to layer my Poms for hand quilting--that will be my slow stitching for today...hope you heal quickly...no more "boo-boos" now ;--)))

Double ouch! I hope you are able to use those fingers to begin the quilting on this project.

Finding just the right marking pencil can be hard. They all seem to be too dark or too light. Your poor fingers! Must be a sign to slow down and rest them up.

Ouch! Hope you are back to fully functional soon. Having done something similar recently I can vouch for the ouch. I like that quilting pattern on your stencil. Great bargain.

I confess, I laughed at your poor fingers!!! It's just the sort of thing I do! Painful and frustrating, but I hope they've healed enough to enjoy some hand stitching on your lovely quilt :)

Ouch! I know thorns hurt like the dickens.
I have that template. It's almost exactly like one my grandma used on a quilt. Looks like yours came at a good price!
