I made 3 of my Squared Away blocks in blue for the RSC Sampler. Blue was the color for September. I had cut out parts for 2 blocks.... was laying them out and figured out I made a boo boo... so just used those mistake half square triangles for the 3rd block I needed and recut the star and medium blue hst's. It worked and I got another month of blocks done! I just need to make 3 pink ones and the 3 dark green ones from this month and then it will be time to figure out how to put them all together! A big thank you to Angela and Mari for designing and leading the way on this fun sew along.

Monday.....
Three posts in 3 days? Wow...yes, I found the sewing room on Sunday afternoon. I feel so much better now.

I realized that my 2 rulers I use the most are really showing their age. I have had them for over 20 years I think and it is high time I replace them. Thank goodness I have birthday $ coming in next month so I think I'll pick up these 2 and replace them. The 6 inch bias square is great for trimming up the hst's and I use that to draw my 1/4 inch on my hand stitching blocks. The 6x24 ruler I use all the time to cut my yardage and fat quarters. It will be so nice to be able to see the marking/cutting lines again. It has completely worn away in places on both rulers.

Just beautiful blocks--lots of piecing in those..hugs, Julierose
I sort of replaced my original cutting mat, and rulers by giving the old ones to my daughter so I could use them when I visited her. I even took my portable Pffaf as carry on the first time I flew out to visit her when she moved out of province. That way I justified buying a new machine, mats and rulers.
Pretty! Your color choices make the block more pleasing!
I found another block to replace it. But yours are pretty and pleasing to the eye!
I love creative grid rulers - a little more $ but they are well worth it - The 45 degree saved my life on York Lodge. Amazon sold it for $31.00 Hugs
I stopped at my local quilt shop and got the creative grids for replacing these 2 rulers today.
Those blocks are a terrific design.
I think they should give you a free ruler since you are clearly their best customer... you would be a great commercial... using the product so much you wore away the lines!!
Your blocks look great. You are almost ready to put them all together. Always the best part!
Your blocks look great! So close to the finish line. I got new rulers a year ago or so and it has been heavenly.
Beautiful blocks. Hope you will find new rulers quicky!
I had to replace my 6x12 ruler last year because I'd worn off most of the markings. It's the size I use the most, with my Easy Angle close behind. (And I've noticed that it's starting to show some wear now, too.)
I like the blues you've chosen for your SA blocks. I haven't done the Sept block yet, so I enjoy seeing what everyone else has done with the pattern.
Your blue blocks look great! I love the blue and white fabric in the closest to the front. I had to replace rulers this year, too - I think my rotary cutter had shaved little bits off their edges!
Well done, quilting enough to wear out your rulers!
