March 27 and I still need to finish off the table scrap challenge. Procrastination is indeed my middle name!
I knew I have bits of green and brown and cream leftover from 13 years ago (oh my how time flies - Greg's quilt when I thought - 8 months pregnant, yes I can just whip out this quilt while working full time!) Still laughing at that one? Hey, he was born in February and Greg got his quilt for Christmas that year =)
Anyway.... I found those bits and parts and sewed them together this week. They turned into 2 beginnings of pot holders and one placemat for the table. I just think they are happy to be out of the bottom of a basket and finally seeing the light of day! I just need to find the insulbright for those holders.
I sewed a few hexagons this week as well. Time to prep a few more. I think I have them all cut out to make 31 darker greens, but need to do the folding and pinning so they are ready to stitch tonight.

GREEN scrap rescue mission? Nice job on that placemat, Deb! I'll be looking forward to seeing how those pot holders turn out, too. Thanks for jumping on the Table Scraps bandwagon!
Pretty green placemat, Deb.
Those "Begining" pot holders look fun.
I bet your leftover bits and pieces are happy to be out of the drawer! Don't we all have those?! They're making a great placemat and potholders, too.
a lot of green - are you ready to move on to blue now :) I am I have a lot of them
Pretty placemat and pot holders! Great to use some scraps from the stash ;)
I really should be making the pot holders too. Great idea and the mat is pretty too. And you even found time for some hexies. Good for you!
Thanks for the reminder I need Insulbright! Lovely combos and projects!
