Saturday in pink.

This is the second Saturday for pink and I got both of the sampler blocks done this week.

I also noticed that I had no pink peels prepped for the border treatment of the Hugs and Kisses quilt so I cut a bunch of those to work on this week.

Not too much pink progress for me this week but hopefully I will have a little more sewing time next week. This one did turn SIX years old on Thursday. He requested a Jake and the Neverland Pirates cake so I created an island and popped his figures onto the top.

Head on over to SoScrappy and see what other pink projects are being worked on.

That'sa good start on the pinks. I don't think I'd have enough of thosee, just a couple of really bright ones.

Great cake! My son had a pirate party for his 5th birthday and I tried to craft a pirate ship. I was doing very well until the cake cracked in half. I managed to salvage it, but for a little while it looked like he'd have a shipwrecked ship instead...

What a sweet cake! Even a little bit of sewing is good on a busy week.

Six? Oh that takes me back to when my boy was 6. Can't remember what his cake was then but he's 27 now and would probably love a pirate cake for his 28th!
Lovely blocks in pink ;)

Beautiful fabrics in your blocks. Your son looks as if he's eager to get started on the cake.

I think you did well with the pink project, especially since you had a birthday boy in the house. I love his cake. :)

Love both those sampler blocks, although that tiny nine patch block really grabs my attention! Remind me please: how big are those little pieces making up the nine patch?
