Slow Stitching Sunday....

After a weekend of working I am ready to settle down and do some slow stitching to finish the binding on this pretty Triangle quilt. I admit - I went searching for my thimble last night and was unable to find it. I know it is somewhere in the sewing room closet in a pink bag. My middle finger sure could use it as the milliners needle is starting to go right  through my finger. I'll survive -I never use a thimble which is why I can't find it!

Head on over to Kathy's Quilts to see some other wonderful slow stitching.

I use Thimble-Its when doing hand stitching (bindings or piecing my hexies). Otherwise the needle starts to go right through my finger. Ouch! Glad you got some slow stitching time!

Sorry your thimble has gone missing. Have you seen Amy's "red neck thimble"? It is duct tape placed directly on the finger. Crude but effective.

That's so funny...usually I remember to put my thimble on when the needle starts to puncture my skin!

I laughed at Angela's comment about the 'red neck thimble'. Duct tape to the rescue - again!

I don't normally wear a thimble when I am hand-stitching - just for quilting.

I never use a thimble either. I love my milliners needles though for binding. It's been so long since I've done a hand binding. I keep doing them by machine.
