And it is a kid free one for me for a few hours. I plan to run back into the sewing room and play with some machine quilting - hopefully the feathers will cooperate for me after lunch. I have a little more walking foot work to do in blue first.
Yellow this week - I made the two sampler blocks that were posted - butterfly and fiesta bock. Here are all the yellow samplers I made this month. I am going to do the lemoyne star during the orange month...whenever that one shows up.
I made a 16 patch block in yellow. Sorry the outside sun did not make for good pictures this morning.
I also finished the last five churn dash blocks for my 12 this month.
Then I did a couple of crumb blocks while putting the above together.
Head on over to SoScrappy and see what other yellow projects are being worked on. I can't wait to find out what color will come out to play in July next week. I'm going to guess red but I'll just have to wait and see.

You have been very busy. I hope to do some hand quilting and maybe some applique tomorrow. Still so many stitches to make to complete any of my projects.
You've managed a lot of sewing this week, and that while the children are on holiday. Good for you. Your yellow blocks are looking good, even though yellow is a terrible colour to photograph, in any weather.
I forgot to say how much I like your bricks and 4-patches quilt. Good luck quilting it.
Lovely yellow blocks of all sizes. I too really like your bricks and 4 patches. I made one years ago but I can see doing another one sometime. They are easy and go together fast.
Your yellows look great against the dark green of the grass. What a great quilt that would make. Best of luck on your feathers. They are so nice in borders.
Yellows are hard to photograph, but they are nice and bright to play with. Just right for summer. I'm always impressed by how many different ongoing projects you manage to keep moving along. I may have many ongoing, but inevitably most stall as one grabs more attention than the rest.
I especially like your 16 patch and churn dashes. Yellow was such a bright and happy color this month and yours came out great Deb!
Love, love, love your yellows! They look so bright and cheery on your green lawn. Glad you got some good sewing time today. ~Jeanne
Green is the perfect backdrop for yellow blocks!
Sometimes too much sun is not a good thing especially when taking pictures. But we can still see how lovely your little blocks are. So cute.
That is so summery looking - yellow blocks on the grass. We are in the middle of winter here and it really feels like it now. Though we have just squeaked past the shortest day so I am telling myself that the days are getting longer.
Love those cheerful yellow blocks!
And yay for time in the sewing room! Hopefully you will get back in their soon.
Lots of sunny yellows! Can't wait to see all the Churn Dash blocks together. I'm thinking of doing a CD variation next year...check out Kim Diehl's Pie in the Sky quilt.
Great photography - quilting too. The green lawn just set off the yellow perfectly.
