Next up - the Pineapple block. I used freezer paper templates ironed to the right side of the fabric and used needle turn with that. In hindsight, I wish I had back based the green parts as I did not line them up very well. Oh well, it won't be that noticeable in the finished quilt (I hope!).
Time to head out for my walk, then a quick shower and it should be close to lunch time with Aidan. I did lunch with Emily on Friday and we are getting close to the end of the month. I try to do lunch with them once a month at school.

How nice to be close enough to have lunch with them! Love your tiny blocks--pineapple looks great to me...hugs, Julierose
Deb I love how your heart finished! That back basting method kept your pulls at bay and it looks terrific.. I also like your pineapple block you got done as well. Glad you make it a point to enjoy lunch with your kids in their daily environment... very fun times! Kathi
I have a thing for anything with pineapples! What a sweet block, Looks like your ready for Valentines Day too with that cute little ruffled heart!
They are cute! I'm not very good with applique so always admire those who can.
How nice to be able to have lunch with your kiddos ... that wasn't an option when my daughter was in school. Your applique blocks turned out so well!
