Slow Sunday Stitching.....

Lots of plans today..... emptying my sewing room and closet is first up on the list! I am swapping rooms with Emily today finally. The AC is right outside her window and it is getting louder and disrupting her sleep so we'll swap rooms (sorry Mom and Dad!).

In between I'll take some breaks and do a little crochet on my mystery afghan by making some granny squares. I have five made and need twenty done by Tuesday for the next clue. This is my first time making them and they are pretty fun to make. I'll also use the darning needle to work those strings in before putting them in their box to wait for the next clue.

After those are done I'll snuggle up tonight and finish the last side of the binding on the Goodnight Irene quilt. One side and one corner to go on this one.

What are you working on today? Head on over to Kathy's Quilts and get inspired with some great hand work projects.

We don't need air conditioning where we are today...it is -35 degrees C with the wind chill. Have fun with your hand work today!

Cute little crochet blocks. So glad you are sharing your mystery project. We were in the 70s yesterday and 24 this am. Staying inside to stitch for sure.

Those are such cute little crocheted blocks ... it'll be fun to watch your mystery come together.

It was bitterly cold here last and we've got snow (and lots of it) coming tonight!

Yay!!! :) Love the blue in this entire post!!!
The blue Granny Squares--- way super fun to make. This version is a little different than ones I've done in the past; the HDC move it new when finishing the rounds.
And Goodnight Irene----LOVE LOVE blue and gold/yellow quilts! After all, those are the colors of the school I work at :) I may need to continue the love of this pattern by making one of my own :D
