Hearts....

Ok, I had to try one out! I did a yellow one and then cut out the background white and did a smaller white heart onto a yellow background. It turned out a wee bit smaller than I planned.... something about cutting out on the drawn line instead of a little away from it. Oops! You can't tell and would never know if I had not said anything. I think I will like this project. The yellow fits the RSC Challenge this month too. Will link up Saturday.

The bigger one is on a 7 inch background and will get trimmed down  to 6.5 inches and finish at 6 inches. I think one of the Sunday's later this month will be a prep day and I'll be all set for the May 31 day challenge. These needle turned very easily in under 20 minutes in car line.
The smaller is a 5 inch square that will finish at 4.5 inches. Maybe a little doll quilt?

I think the girls had fun finishing their pillowcases last night. One did not show (so I will finish hers) and one was brought home to finish with her Mom... cause I tagged her to help in a step to trim and show the girls how to prep for the last step. This is Emily's... which she had to sleep with last night.

Emily's new Smores bear tested it out too. She is styling in an Elsa dress. It seems my Dottie dog is dressed in Anna's dress =).

Phew.... got all my 3rd graders out early last night  (except my kid) for a good nights sleep before the FSA testing today and tomorrow. Mother nature had other plans and a terrible thunderstorm in the middle of the night for hours I'm sure effected some sleep. I had the other kid up with me (he hates thunder storms) and had to reset the breakers in the bedrooms when the power blipped. Had to hit the reset on the switches in the kitchen this morning. It has rained and stormed all day.... I think we have enough rain for a bit now. I am ready to see the ball of sun. Until then, I'll keep looking at my nice yellow blocks.

Yea and you finally decided to share some of that rain with us here on the east coast in Brevard County--it seemed right here where I am the storms always hit north and south of us, but not us--but today we got a nice amount of rain--I am singing and so is the birds and the plants--
those girl scout pillow cases are really cute and give yourself a pat on the back for all the help and learning you are giving these young souls--thanks--
enjoy, di

The hearts look so pretty. You can send some of that rain our way. I'd even love a good thunderstorm.

Both the hearts and pillowcase look great!

When it thunderstorms here my dogs get so scared...they are at my feet and even want to follow me in to the bathroom.

I used to enjoy thunderstorms and not be too worried about them but we had some SEVERE ones a few years ago and a local gas plant was affected / worried about us all blowing up! Since then I don't like them so much :)

I think your heart blocks are so sweet - and pretty in yellow! Hooray for getting the pillow cases finished, too!

Both of those hearts will make very sweet projects.

Great looking hearts. We had a huge storm earlier too, and it wants to rain again. Spring!
