RSC in orange and green?

I finished up one more bright green star and nine patch block before moving along to a 16 patch in orange. These both used 2.5 inch squares. Looks like 5 weeks of orange this year.....

I am sadly lacking in lovely oranges...... or I might be. I'll have to sort through the 3+ bins of scraps and see if I can pull some oranges to play with this month. I did not see any in the 2 inch or 1/5 inch strip bins and used up most of the few 2.5 inch strips for the 16 patch block. I did see a few scraps hanging around on the wall, but they are small bits and less than 10 kinds of fabrics. I 'might' have to augment in that color..... we will see.

Head on over to the rainbow scrap challenge and see what others have been doing with their scraps.
I'll be watching Emily at horses in the morning. She didn't go last week and can't wait to get on a horse to cantor.

I had to dig deep to find orange as well. It was worth it though! Hope you find some hidden in the nooks and crannies.

I have to get my orange bin out and see what I have I used a lot of them at the end of 2018 in a mystery quilt and I don't think I replenished it

"Might have to augment" -- hmmm, seems like orange is scarce for everyone.

Great blocks for the rainbow challenge. I know what you mean by "augment". I have to do that often, I'm grateful to this online challenge as it has made me learn to play with all the colors in the crayon box. My quilts are more colorful and fun now.
By the way. I love the quilt in your banner.

the oranges I have are leftovers from my grandon Steven's college quilt--so quite a few cut-offs even though I don't use a lot of orange..now I am wondering why I don't;))) It's growing on me--
go ahead and "augment" away--some months you have to make some scraps hahaha (we won't send in the scrap police on you!!) hugs, Julierose

Sweet little blocks! My oranges aren’t what they used to be because I made an all orange lozenge quilt a couple years ago that decimated my scraps. But that’s the purpose, right? And somehow they seem to build back up again...

Good luck with the scarce orange scraps! Sixteen patches are always such a good idea. I love the monkey print in your green star block.

Those star blocks of yours are a favorite of mine! Your orange 16 patch looks great, too. It is often hard to get as many orange blocks made as you have time for in a month when there are fewer scraps!

Opps-- I didn't do all the steps and my comment disappeared on me!!!! Now that is a nice 'orange' block--
but I had to do alot of 'augmenting' yesterday--
and got 9 oranges at the shop--as I only had one in my stash so that was fun--
have a happy 'orange' month--
luv, di

Let me know if you need more ORANGE scraps. I can pop some in a mini mailer and you will have them next week!
