Whoopie Pies and Hand Pieced Quilt Along is Completed.

Emily and I did a free online class making Whoopie Pies last night. This one was chocolate with a peanut butter frosting. Next time... I'll either do a butter cream or chocolate frosting. Peanut butter is not my favorite but it was still pretty darn good.  They have a lot of different things available for free here. Greg and I had a late lunch (take out $10 lunch from Chili's!) so we were not too hungry for dinner. The kids got our appetizer of chips and salsa for their after school snack in the car (we each got an appetizer, entree and drink for $10 each so there was one for each of them).

It made 12 but 5 might have disappeared quickly.

The binding got attached by machine after my trusty helper pressed it for me. I hand stitched it down last night for an official finish of my OMG for March!

Trimmed up but before the binding to see the quilting better!

Linking up with the OMG with my finish.

That quilt finish is a beauty!! Nice work, Deb.

I've never made Whoopie Pies...they look delish...I also love that peanut butter flavor (Reeses peanut butter cups just flew into my head!!);000

I am making homemade bean soup for our dinner tonight...with smoked ham this time...to be served with my homemade croutons..I love dinners that can be made earlier in the day rather than 5 pm...;)))

Hope your weekend is a fun one...We are fogged in here...but it is pretty warm --55 degrees...nice
Hugs, Julierose

Now that looks like a fun mom and daughters date!!
and a really nice finish with that 'blues' quilt top!!
I am anxious to see how my blue one comes out for this years block???
And I am so jealous that you got to go to Chili's--that is my favorite place for a burger and fries--and I love there potato soup--have not been there for over 2 1/2 years now!!!
and yes we have one here--I was in NY for one year--the here for 6 months before stupid Covid hit--but just didn't get there before BC--and they don't have outdoor setting--so we just didn't get there--yet!!!
luv, di

The whoopee pies look delicious but I'd prefer something other than peanut butter so I'm not drooling too much! I love your quilt - great job! ~Jeanne
