Saturday.....

Lots of RSC Samper blocks got made this week. Here are the six blocks in the darks.  I had to modify the cat a bit as I cut it out wrong - so mine is a little chunky on the bottom just like my Sophie!

I also got to sew a few hexagons together this week. Next week is the churn dashes....
I found Kona solids at Joann's fabrics.... I think some birthday $ will be spent on a bunch of black or pepper  next month to start surrounding these hexagons. I just printed out some coupons... so maybe I'll just pick them up tomorrow after work =) They are 'standard' colors so if I don't get enough for all of them.... it should be the same color later..... I hope!

Head on over to SoScrappy and see what other dark colors are being worked with this week.
I created two of the tutorials this week for the RSC Sampler. Clay's Choice is here and Sarah's Choice is here.

Today I am off to work and tomorrow everyone is healthy so we will head to the Pumpkin Pickin Patch. The kids can't wait. They had so much fun last year and can't wait to drag bring Daddy through the corn maze! He has never been with us. Here are some pictures from last year... I can't believe how much the kids have changed. Aidan had his baby top teeth still!

Great sampler week for you. I'm looking forward to using your tutorials to catch up on blocks today. Enjoy your fall fun. It even seems a little bit cool to make it feel like seasons are changing.

It's always fun to see blocks come together. I'll bet you are excited to start putting the hexies together.

We used to take the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out just the right pumpkin for carving and now it's the grandkids we are usually taking and I still have a good time watching kids have a good time.

Your brown hexies are very soft and pretty. Should look great with the colours you plan to put around them.
