I was merrily chain stitching away...... when I finally noticed that THE BOBBIN WAS EMPTY! What's a girl to do but turn off the machine, turn off the light and exit the room! Don't mind the clutter under the clear sewing table..... things seem to get tucked under there a lot!
I think the T-storm that kept knocking me off the VPN at work is through so I can try and log on. If it drops again, it is bobbin winding time! The first set of drops became lunch time!

I don't think I ever have an extra bobbin - I never take the time for some reason
Oh, that's hilarious! I've done that before! Hope you had a chance to go back and try again.
When I wind bobbins I usually do at 6 at the time--
but--
like you I just get to sewing away and don't pay any attention to the bobbin and I even make use my machine has the drop in kind so you can see just how much thread is on the bobbin!!! oh well --my excuse is --I am old--!!!
luv, di
Been there. Done that. Often. But over the years I have learned to hear or sense the difference in sound when it is empty.
I really wish my machine had an empty bobbin alarm. Maybe someday... ~Jeanne
Oh I hate when that happens--it did to me in the midst of sewing on one side of a binding...not good...probably a good idea to just walk away....
hugs from afar Julierose
I know that has happened to me and I do the same exit sewing area pronto!
