The last snowflake for Hoarfrost is in process of applique. Once this one is done I can trim it and piece the top part up to the borders. I have some white on white fabrics in stock now so I plan to play with that and blue for the icy border later today. The morning will be spent trimming the hedges with Aidan and doing some weeding before it gets too hot while the others are working in the back on the chicken coop.

****Added this next part. Keep in mind I am pretty much self taught on this and from what I have learned from books and video's. This is how I decided to do my diamonds in the snowflake.... cause I am way too lazy to actually 'prep' it first! I did make a slice with scissors in that diamond before pinning to the background. When I got to the point of stitching them I used my little scissors to snip right up to the drawn line on the corners. Snowflakes are not perfect after all!
I stitch that side down and repeat for all the sides. I have 2 of the diamonds done - 4 to go.

Every time I see your stars and nine patches, I want to make some! They are pretty in every color. When you applique the snowflake, how will you do those diamonds in the center? I'd really like to learn needle turn applique - need to look for some YouTube videos! Stay cool, Deb!
LOVE those Stars and Nines in Dark BLUE!! Regarding your Hoarfrost... Perfection is overrated and done is SEW much better than perfect, Deb! We all do the best work that we can, at any point time. I think that your Snowflake quilt will be lovely!
Well you and I have had a 'blue' Saturday--your blue blocks are looking good along with the other blue projects--you will be ready to trim hedges so you can enjoy another color!! And yes I do believe my 'tiredness' is connected to all the extra toxic fumes I have had lately--plus there is something in the air really bothering my sinus--but I just keep stitching so I don't have to feel sorry for myself and get depressed--I am really to go to a real restaurant and have a good meal with a friend--or go shopping and not have to worry about getting sick--but can't--so on to the next sewing project---
