Slow down Sunday.....

Every week Kathy reminds us to slow down and breathe. Sometimes, I actually listen =)

Last night I finished stitching the 4th block of Endless Diamonds while watching the Tampa Bay Lightning play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Time to prep another block today

Yes, 2 of them really need a press... and that bottom right pink will need a third try. That pucker....

I also made a little progress on hand quilting the cat and mouse. I hope to put a couple of hours in on this today. I outlined the mouse but I have not decided what else to add for stitching in that block. At least I'll work on outlining the other mice in this row while I think on that.

A little machine work will happen today as well - I have my RSC 2018 quilt pinned and needing some machine quilting (or tugging as it is a big quilt for my little sewing machine!). Who know's... maybe I'll have a binding to add later this week by hand?

Linking up with the other slow stitchers at Kathy's Quilts.

Maybe you could put some cross hatching around the mouse...not too much but enough.
Your diamond blocks are coming along. I am sure as you do them you will get better and better and no puckers!!

You've really gotten a lot accomplished lately, Deb! I love those endless diamond blocks - the 4 together really show off the design. Hope the quilting on both quilts is going smoothly, too. Have a great Sunday!

I am loving your hand pieced blocks... I love the quilt in your header... the center is striking but the outer border sets it all off right too... blue and white for winter is a fave of mine too :)
I hope you figure what will finish your mouse nicely for this quilt based on other stitching done when you get to it... enjoy if you can small spurts of machine quilting so your shoulders and back don't get in a knot Deb! Take care :)

Lots of great projects but I am really excited about your endless diamond blocks I can just imagine the time it take to hand piece them, but your effort will pay off!

I'm glad you listened to the wisdom of Kathy....slow stitching is indeed good for the soul. =) So much lovely colour in both your RSC 2018 and Endless Diamonds blocks. The patterns and colours are gorgeous.

It is nice to know that even quilters who are much more proficient than me need to redo a block now and then. I know that when I really start working on the quilt for my daughter there will probably much unstitching as it is a harder quilt than I have attempted previously. I will definitely be taking my time. I do love those blocks though. Enjoy all of your stitching.

You are moving right along with your projects there;)
I, on the other hand, don't even want to sew....can't get myself motivated...no more mojo for sure...

All your projects are progressing nicely. It certainly doesn't do any harm to slow right down. Would you consider lightly starching your Endless Diamond blocks?

Sometimes I listen to myself too! LOL
Great progress on all your projects! Seeing your diamond blocks makes me want to start a hand piecing project.
Thanks for taking the time to link up with the Slow Sunday Stitchers!
